Why doesn't anyone ever use their turn signals anymore?

Didn't you know they're just for looks? Why do we need to use turn signals? Pfhthfphf... I like getting in wrecks and totaling my car every day. Makes life more interesting. You never know when the person in the car next to you is going to swerve over into your lane and cut you off so you can slam into the back of their car... Don't you love that? Turn lanes are great, too. the little arrows in the turn lane tell you which way to turn. But don't roll over them, or else you won't know which way to go. Stay in the driving lane or only half way in the turning lane and block traffic. Oh and I love it when the person driving in front of you is make a right turn and then they don't use their turn signal and then suddenly slow at the last minute before they turn so you can slam on your brakes while they almost come to a complete stop and then slowly continue to turn going 2 mph. I LOVE THAT!! It just makes my day! I start honking my horn at them and screaming at them about how happy they just made me. I don't know why they get all upset when I do that. They always give me dirty looks like I did something wrong.... I don't understand. Oh yeah, and also, I love sitting behing someone at the stop light. Sometimes when it turns green, they just sit there. I thought you were supposed to go when it turns green, but come to find out, it means you're supposed to wait for Christmas. How great is that?!?

Ok I'm done now. Sorry... I had to rant and rave for a little bit and get it all out of my system. I can't stand people who don't know how to drive. Unfortunately, that's most of the people on the road. Kind of makes you wonder how they got their license in the first place doesn't it? They probably failed miserably every time and eventually was just given their license out of pity. But I'll tell what's a pity, and that's the fact that 9 times out of 10, you always seem to get stuck behind one of those morons every time you get in your car. For crying out loud! Get off the freakin road of you don't know how to drive!!!!

Hey I was behind someone the other day who used his. He had his right turn signal on for 4 miles the turned left

Different reasons:
1) if you are changing lanes on the interstate: as soon as you turn on your signal to change lanes, someone will speed up and not let you in.
2) if you are trying to make a right turn- someone will be right on your butt trying to make you turn faster
3) if you are trying to turn left-- someone will try and squeeze by on your right in between you and the shoulder.
4) People forget
5) People have their hands full with their cell phone, make-up, biggie fries and changing stations on the radio while trying to pick out a CD.

Where do u live? People still do use their turn signals, infact one should use them always for safety and letting the guy behind you know that you r turning.

I believe, because there are a lot of disrespectful people out there nowadays. No one respects anybody's anything, including respecting others by letting them know when they're about to turn. Plus, a lot of people probably think, or maybe are really, good drivers, & don't think it's necessary. But it really is something that needs to be done.

Laziness!!!!! I hate that. Especially these brand new cars driving around and you know their turn signals work. Its ridiculous! But those same people will be quick to honk at you if your fail to signal.

Joking! I ALWAYS use mine.

Some people now seem to believe that they are options on the car...

There not, people if you don't want to be rear ended, use your signals! You might be a mind reader, but most of us aren't.

I've been wondering the same thing. Although when I wonder this, it's usually out loud, yelling at the driver in front of me for suddenly hitting his brakes and turning with no indication, followed by four-letter words and name calling. I make sure they can't hear me though - I get it all from my dad. Good thing I'm usually driving alone.
It's annoying though, isn't it?

i have no idea.. im a new driver. but i think its rediculus. like am i supposed to be able to read other drivers minds? and i agree all those people who dont stop at the stop signs! like when it says stop.. it means. STOP! i dont know signaling and stoping. if people can get away with this.. then they can get away with lots!
