I think President Bush would like to see the UN disbanded. The American government has been "gunning" for the UN for years. The US gov. owes millions to the UN, and if they could destroy the organisation they wouldn't have to pay that debt. Australia, (as a country that hangs on the coat-tails of the US) has had a go at discrediting the UN too!
I think Bush is afraid to criticise Israel, there are too many powerful people who are "for" what they are doing.
As for the Iraq situation I really don't know what to think, but maybe bringing democracy to the people there will work out in the end. Maybe we should stop playing God in other peoples lands and let them work out their own problems. But then again can we sit by, and watch them killing each other? Sometimes I think that by paying them so much attention, they are, like naughty children, behaving much worse than they would without our interest! ( I certainly think this is true of the terrorists. They are getting a helluva kick out of all their mayhem that's being reported in the media)

Bush did get a resolution passed regarding the crises. The resolution states that Israel, Lebanon and the Palestinians should attempt to minimize the civilian deaths and infrastructure damage.

The US and Bush openly support Israel, as the US always has.

I think Bush has the morals to be in power, even though I think he has performed poorly, especially in the past year.

Justify Bush in the Iraq crises? I have no idea what you are referring too.

he's got enough on his plate as it is...no time or resources to worry about going to the UN...why doesn't the UN step in on their OWN? I'll tell you why. Because they are worthless. They don't DO anything.

do u think president bush is openly supporting Israel? - No...Again...he has a full plate.

do u think president bush still has the moral to be in a position of power? - Yes...I think everyone is finding way to easy look backwards and realize their own mistakes...but blames them on the president.

do u think we can justify president bush in the Iraq crisis? - Yes...but he is fighting terrorism in Iraq...its like a virus it takes a while for the antibiotic of the military to win out.

Simply put: because there's no oil over there. If Bush really believed in Warring for Freedom, then obvious places of ongoing conflict would have been crushed from the get go. Look at Cuba, N Korea, many places in Africa, and yes, anywhere near Israel. The US has been behind Israel since its inception. As far as "moral" issues, Bush can't spell it let alone know what it means. Ever since the "phony" evidence leading to the war and the "non-existent weapons of mass destruction," Bush's justifications fall flat

Either way, we folks criticise the American President. If he does something in the situation in Lebanon and Israel, we say he should mind his own business. Now that he is mum about it, we say he is openly supporting it. But if you must know, Bush is along with the G8 Summit held recently condemning this ongoing war. The UN should be the governing authority over all warring nations. It was created for that neutral purpose.

To my understanding he was trying to bring UN assistance into the situation to restore peace. As far as openly supporting Israel, no he isn't but behind the scenes yes I believe he is and he has to. Israel is fighting terrorism in Hezbollah and Hamas which are both America's declared enemies. The only question is whether Israel is killing too many civilians in Lebanon and whether Lebanon is allowing the terrorists to continue because they are too weak to handle them, or because they want them to continue their actions.

The other two questions I don't really know. Bush's morals seem to be rather "fluid" for the situations don't they. While I believe actions should be changeable depending on the situation, I don't believe morals and principles should be, but he does seem to change them a lot. As far as justifying the war in Iraq, it is a moot question now since we are stuck there because of politics, we can't leave them in the mess they're in since we put them there. But we can't justify more death if we can't fix the situation. I just don't know on that one.

I don't think he is openly supporting Israel. I Know he is. The wording of the UN is nothing more than a weak cease fire that does nothing. The President wants more words to prevent future actions like this happening. He as always wants to solve the issue, and not sweep it under the rug as so many politician do, then we end up dealing with it again at a later time.

Israel is the only democracy in the middle east and the only ally of the US in that region. They are surrounded on all sides by terrorists who want to destroy them, the same terrorists who attacke the US, Britain, India and other countries. Yes, Bush is supporting Israel. He doesn't want a UN resolution, because he wants Israel to disarm the terrorists as much as possible.

Why shouldn't Bush openly support Israel? Should Israel be forced to allow terrorists to attack them because some crybabys can't stand the heat????

Get an education. A UN resolution has been in place for years. If the UN had acted upon the resolution, there would be no war today.
