"CUT" as much of it off as you can first without getting too close to your desired curve. Then, a grinding wheel, a file, a jigsaw with a tile blade, a dremel tool with grinding attachment can all work for finishing it.

These are good suggestions (except the horse), but I have one more. Many home improvement stores will make the cut for you for a fee. It's a lot cheaper than buying the tools if you only need one piece cut. Inquire in the tile department.

You can get a ceramic tile handsaw quite cheaply or tile cutting blades which will fit a mini hacksaw. They should sell them in B&Q, Homebase or any Tile supplier.

If you're cutting straight edges use a stanley knife and a ruler make a groove and snap it off or get a tile cutter for about a £20

easy. get a scribe blade and cut a series of straight lines out up to the curve of which you have already penciled on. Once you have made these cuts, simply snap them off using tile cutters, then smooth off the curvr with strong sandpaper. Done

There is a special saw for that purpose. It is very small and fine but circular so that you can cut around curves, it fits into a mini hacksaw, get it at the hardware store.
