Meet in a public place that's brightly lit. Take your cell phone with you, and make sure at least one of your best friends knows exactly where you are going and who you are going to meet. I met my boyfriend online of all places and so when he finally convinced me to meet him in person, I made sure that I left a card of information about him (his first & last name, the kind of car he drives, what area from town he's from, what he does for a living, etc) in a drawer and told my best friend who has my extra key where this info was heaven forbid something happened to me. make sure its a public place with lots of people around. have ur friends be there too but not with you, just have em spy on you. have a cell phone on at all times. dont go anywhere alone with him. if you feel uncomfortable get out fast.

Take a phone. Keep it public. Don't go alone. Make sure people know where you'll be. Don't go somewhere "quieter".
