Nobody will hire a 13 year old, it is against the law. Your best best is mowing lawns, paper routes, babysitter. Depending on where you live, Mijers stores might hire you also Arbys.

Most likely there are not any companies that will hire you. At your age you need to do things like become a sitter for kids or pets. You can do odds and ends for people in your neighborhood. Mow lawns, clean up around someone's yard. Look around your neighborhood and only to the people you know!!!!! ask if they have some odd jobs you can do. Do the same with your parents friends. You taking the initiative to find these jobs will show your parents you are trying and want to keep the promise you made. Sitting around waiting for some miracle company that will hire a 13 yr old will keep you sitting around forever and show them you really have no intention of wanting to find a job. Ask your family if there are odd jobs you can do. Maybe your parents will give you an allowance for doing things around the house. Good luck in whatever you find!

Well since you can't legally work at most places until you are about 15 or 16 I would suggest babysitting. It can actually bring in somewhat good money...especially if the kids like you & keep requesting you.

child labor laws...you have to wait until you are 14 anyways before you can get a job and then most want you to be 16 or even 18.....dont be in a hurry to work. you will be working for the rest of your life....everyone working now at an older age will look back and wish they were your age again with no major resonsibility. enjoy it while you can

At 12 I had my own COMMERCIAL lawn mowing company (I did the little patches of grass and trimmed the hedges at restaurants and such) and apartment cleaning business. It was work, and the apartment cleaning was, well, gross at times...but how many 12 years olds you know that could take 7 day vacations that they paid for?
Good Luck, be creative.....

Baby sit, house sit, pet sit, mow lawns, clean pools, set up a lemonade stand (yeah it sounds more childish, but you can raise money that way). No one will HIRE you...you've got to think like an independent and work for yourself. PEACE!

best bet is to put your name and phone in a nieghborhood news letter. Most of them have a section for odd jobs or teens seeking jobs with categories such as yard work, pet sitting, house sitting, babysitting, mothers helper.

13 year olds belong in school not on a job. But, you could take an after school job like babysitting, mothers helper, or dog walker.
