Does Azo yeast really help it go away? Or is it just something that helps with the symptoms??
Im also taking Uristat for a new UTI.. is this only for symptoms also??

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://tr.im/NaturalCureYeastInfection
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Honestly, I don't know much about the over-the-counter medication for a UTI, but I was told that it doesn't work that well. I would go to a doctor and get a prescription for that. I also don't know how Azo works, but I know other treatments like Monistat work. They have 1-day treatments that you can get and most of the time the symptoms are gone once you use it.

Most UTI's are caused by the E. Coli bacteria. You need to take antibiotics for it to fully go away, or you run the risk of your bladder infection turning into a kidney infection. Kidney infections are serious business, they can damage your kidneys permanently and cause acute renal failure.
I have had limited to no success with Azo yeast for prevention or treatment of yeast infections. It may or may not work for you. There is also the possibility, that since you have a bladder infection, your yeast infection is actually bacterial vaginosis, which is also commonly caused by the E. Coli bacteria, among others. You would need MetroGel or another similar antibiotic gel or pill to get rid of the vaginosis. I would recommend you ask your doctor Diflucan/Fluconazole to prevent/treat the possibility of developing a yeast infection while on antibiotics. Most women will develop a secondary yeast infection due to broad spectrum antibiotics preventing the growth of the helpful bacteria in the vagina, which keeps yeast to a minimum. Some level of yeast is normal in the vagina, it's when there's an imbalance of the good bacteria that it gets out of control.
Since you're saying monistat hasn't worked, it's most likely bacterial vaginosis or possibly a STD and you will need to be tested and given prescription antibiotics/retrovirals to cure the infection or treat the STD.
Vaginosis is NOT a STD in and of itself. It is caused when there is an imbalance of good bacteria vs. bad bacteria and/or yeast. You already have a bladder infection. You pee right by where your vagina is located. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that when you pee, then wipe, you can transfer the bacteria.
It can be caused by douching, powers, creams, etc. Just because you had one negative result for STDs, doesn't guarantee you don't have a STD because of the bodys way of dealing with infections. Herpes can take up to a year to show up in testing, as well as HIV and other viral STDs. Asymptomatic infections can take even longer if the load of virus (HIV or either herpes simplex... You can get both herpes simplex I and herpes simplex II "down there") in your blood stream isn't enough to create an immune response. The way a virus is detected is by testing for the immune response, NOT the virus.
Most UTI's are caused by bacteria transferring from the skin between your vagina and rectum during sex, or from "dirty" sex. This also can cause bacterial vaginosis. Dirty fingers, dirty mouths, dirty toys can also cause these infections. Wiping your butt back-to-front or not completely wiping after you poop can cause them, because bacteria can migrate to your urethra and vagina. Cleanliness is key to avoiding them.
Take it or leave it, but you can't avoid going to the doctor unless you want to remain miserable and risk damaging your kidneys. Ignorance is only bliss for so long. Crotch rot isn't fun. Educate yourself. Knowledge is power.

In many cases only antibiotics and bed rest are needed, and the attack may subside in a day or two. After you recover, your physician may want you to have a blood and urine tests, an X-ray of your kidneys and cystoscopy for your bladder.
