They don't use protection because they think "it can't happen to me" or they really want a kid because they think it'll keep the boyfriend.

I think for younger people, hormones take over. Instead of thinking ahead, they just do what feels right. This not only leads to pregnancy, but also to STDs and such. For younger teens, it is hard for them to see into the future. Most of their thought process is here and now. So even if they think they might get pregnant, it's a chance they'll take because they'll just deal with it later. It's really their thought process that doesn't mature till late teen/early 20's and for some, early 30's

I think teens have sex because they are influenced in some many ways especially by television. T.V. creates a strong image of sexual activity that kids see so therefore they go out ant try it. I'm sure they are many other different reasons but this is one of the major ones. they obviously are not ready for that stage in life and don't know what they are doing and they end up with a baby to take care of.

Okay. I think imma answer this question because im a teen. im 16 years old & im 23 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend and I were just in a mood one day and it happened.. but he hasnt left my side and he's there for me every way possible i have a job and I go to school making straight a's! Having a baby is the best thing thats happened to me and i wouldn't change it for me the world. But why some teens get pregnant knowing they cant raise a baby or dont want one. i dont know. but im willing to take responsiblitys for my actions and so is my boyfriend! and as far as why we do it. some teens just do it to do it. but me and my boyfriend have been together 4 years and We are willing to take care of it!

Because they are ignorant of the consequences of their actions. Teens are getting their information from their friends that don't really know anything either. They think that their are all kinds of little tricks that you can do to keep you from getting pregnant. Parents won't talk candidly with them, and the same parents fight to prevent sex education from being taught in school. Parents want to pretend that their child will never have sex, but the fact is that teens are in a very volatile state of emotions due to raging hormones.

The human body is generally ready, physically, to reproduce at 13 - 15. That instinct to mate has been around a whole lot longer than human intellect or morals. That's a really strong force to fight (the strongest instinct in life), and not everyone can manage it.

Teenage girls get pregnant at an early age for many reasons, it can be against their religion to use any form of family planning, they may never have any idea about safe sex, mayb they don't have a mother figure to guide then through their adolscence stage of life, they can love baby and thing they should have one.as well as it can be that the common thing unprotected sex.

Because almost every teenage girl has a longing to be loved and every teenage boy has learned what to say to get what they want. Many girls that I have came in contact with had sex just to please the guy and keep him coming around. There are VERY few cases where the couple actually love one another and stay together past highschool. Teenagers are getting worse everyday and things are going alot farther alot younger.

Actually this isn't true. Research shows that most teens get pregnant between 8:00pm and 12:30am; not early at all.

I feel it is because they are afraid to ask their parents for birth control. I got pragnant with my daughter at age 15, she is now 19.
When she was 15, I got her on BC, alot of people thought I was crazy. But I know I was doing the right thing, because you can't control what your children do. I want her to have a better future than me, I wasn't ready to be a grandma, no more than she was ready to be a mom.

I think it's because 1-they think that if they have sex, the boy will love them 2-they do not know what birth control is or cannot get access to it 3-they think that having a baby to love and will love them back would be nice
