why do people that you know in life insist on "messaging" you on myspace or aim when they haven't called you in months????

It's a way to keep in touch without talking to someone everyday. I have friends that I like, I'm just not close enough with them to call them constantly.

Well, I know in my case I HATE talking on the phone. I'd rather either type a message or talk in person. I never call my friends

At least its an attempt for communication.They could choose not to contact you at all.Maybe they feel you spend your time on the computer so they will be sure to get in touch with you through messaging.Look at it as a positive not a negative,Good luck God bless:O)

i have to agree with pretty much everyone else...it's easy, cheap/free, and sometimes people get way too busy to call and it's just easier to drop little notes

it's easy and convenient. especially if you work in front of a computer, and get bored all day, and can't make personal calls! then it's fun!
