Tell me about it?

I was 26 years old and my brother visited me about 5-6month (I think) after he was murdered. It was about 2-3am in the morning when my wife Liza asked me to get 'Dymiadole' (a type of sedative for children) from the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and my brother said hello to me and he looked just like he was alive and I greeted him in return before realising he was dead and then run back to my bedroom out of fear. I have had other experiences. :)

I have never seen a ghost, but I work in a school that is located in a wooded area. Behind the school is an old, family burial ground from the early to late 1800's. At least once a year, a person, or persons will report either seeing a ghost, or encountering a strange phenomena in the section of the school which abuts the cemetery.
Over the past winter, the public safety officers at our school chased a "person dressed in a civil war uniform" into the woods, only to have the "person" disappear into thin air. Students who live in the dorms routinely trace footprints in the newly fallen snow which will lead straight up to one of the headstones and end right there, and others will feel "creepy", and "spooky" sensations while they study in the library which is in that area. I've always said that if the afterlife has nothing better to offer these poor souls but the opportunity to hang around our little school, then that redefines my definition of hell.

The only time I actually saw a ghost was when I was about 13. I was really depressed and wanted to end my life. I was holding a knife to my stomach and was looking at myself in the mirror. Just as I was about to stab myself I saw my grandpa in the mirror behind me with a sad look in his eyes, when I turned around he was gone. My grandpa had died four years ago.

My best friend had a run in with a poltergeist. She said that she was in bed on the top bunk when all of a sudden she discovered that she was floating and was then thrown into the wall next to her bed and hit the floor.

I have also seen things float across the room, things fall off a desk that were perfectly stable, and heard footsteps. The house that this happened in is my mom's, she bought it from an old woman who's husband had died of a heart attack in the living room. The old woman has recently passed away and I haven't heard or seen anything since. I think the husband was just looking for his wife.

I've seen ghosts most of my adult life, usually it is startling at first but not really scary. You see I know most of them, I'm the one the family says good-by to when they die. I'll see aunt or uncle so and so then hear that they died within the hour. A month ago I saw my father in law (he died three years ago) in our back yard while mowing the grass and our beloved cat died the next day. This sort of phenomena is not uncommon in Irish families, we don't really talk about it, just accept it. Pretty much someone in every generation has this "gift" and you deal with it.

One time we were staying in a B&B in Canada and I got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I saw one the old residents of the house she was obviously a prostitute of 1800's vintage.(she appeared in a bluish light slightly above the floor) The "offical history" of the house was that it had been a bording house for minors at that time. Obviously, there was a bit of unoffical history going on too!

Come on, people. Get a grip on reality. There are no ghosts. If you are seeing ghosts, you need professional help. You probably are seeking some excitement in your life or trying to draw attention to yourself. Possibly "seeing ghosts" makes you feel special. Whatever the case, claiming to see ghosts is weird, and this is not the kind of attention you want to bring on yourself.

I do like the little ghosts at Halloween, though.

I've seen ghosts, but the more disturbing ones are the ones you don't see.

The earliest I recall seeing a ghost was when I was about 6. I've lived in haunted houses - one in particular was VERY haunted. The house I live in now is haunted.

I don't mind ghosts at all. Ghosts are simply discarnate people, or sometimes echoes of energy long past.

I've seen then only a hand full of times, but i feel them and sense them more than i can count. The house i grew up in was haunted, my aunts house had someone that was murdered in it, one night i was asleep on their couch and woke to something touching me on my finger (no one was around and i felt sooo cold) I feel soo much better now because the house that my husband and i moved into there is no ghost there, when i take pictures i don't even see orbs in them and i don't feel anything there.

Yes several,

Most are nice and I am not sure why they stayed. If you see a black wraith or something like that that is not a positive being and is either showing its self to hurt you or drive you away. Non-corperal beings can move matter without a body and are extremely powerful able to harm people or property.

Some peolpe are cursed in life and remain here to cause suffering others died in a way that their life was just completed after great suffering and they stay because they refuse to accept death for life was just getting good.

The sixth sense and the others are movies to see in this regard.

I know one woman who is a witch and her house is cursed because of the fact that she has drawn in the forbidden into it. She thinks it is all a joke I saw several things there, she thinks she is pure, pure what I will not say.

Yes I have seen ghosts. Several of them to be exact. Most of those that I have seen are family or relatives that have recently passed away or have passed away years ago. One is my father who passed away two years ago from the "AGENT ORANGE" Virus from vietnam back in the mid to late 60's. He is a frequent visitor, he visits us all the time, and last year when Florida had that one really bad hurricane and everyone had to evacuate the Space Coast of Florida, my family went to St. Augustine, Florida, we left my father's ashes behind. Well, the only thing that happened to out house, with leaving my father's ashes behind in my mom's car, which was parked in front of the front door, was we had two big 80 foot tall trees, a Buckeye tree, and a 80 yr. old Oak tree, those two trees were split in half and splayed out tin the entire front yard, just inches from our house and my mom's car.. My father always told us months before he passed away, that he would always be here to protect us and our land and home, and he did just that..
