Is it because they feel society doesn't accept them so they are just down right mean and rude? This is a serious question I was watching Real World the other day and the gay guy on there is so gosh darn dramatic and the guys I went to school with that were gay were the same way. Again I'm not bashing I'm just curious.

because they are frank and has nothing to lose.. unlike normal people, they are afraid of what other people might say to them so they follow the golden rule unlike gay men, people already say bad things to them so why not return the favor.. get it?

I have many gay and bi male friends and none of them seem to act like the person on real world. Remember each person has been thru different things in life and maybe for him, he wasn't very accepting in his culture and it turned him bitter.
It's okay to accept women being a lesbian or bi because it's a thing for men AND it's always been around.. Men are coming out the closet with it now more than they ever have been.. but women also want their "thing" too so men portray that as something different. I don't have any problems like that guy on real world with my friends. Remember that guy on the real world wants the spotlight because he is on tv.

The gay men I've known haven't been angry types at all.
It's impossible to make generalisations about the behaviour of such a large varied group of people from all different backgrounds, or about the reason for it. Anyway their sexuality is one aspect of them - there's lots of other factors to take into account!

As far as TV shows like the Real World, screamers like that are cast to keep things interesting and keep you watching. Low-key, calm, rational gay guys would be boring--at least to them.
