The Israelis are fighting for their very existence. Besides the beef isn't with Lebanon persay, but with the Islamofascist Hezbollah, who has found safe refuge in Lebanon.
Is that short enough?

The first point to bear in mind is that the crisis did not truly
begin with the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah. The
kidnappings presented a serious problem for Israel, but could not, by themselves, define the geopolitical issue. That definition came when Hezbollah rockets struck Haifa, Israel's third-largest city, on July 13. There were also claims coming from Hezbollah, and confirmed by Israeli officials, that Hezbollah had missiles available that could reach Tel Aviv. Israel's population is concentrated in the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem corridor and in the Tel Aviv-Haifa corridor. In effect, Hezbollah had attained the ability to strike at the Israeli heartland. Hezbollah has been hitting the northern part of this heartland, as well as pounding Israel's northern frontier.
Formerly, Syria had troops in Lebanon. When Syria withdrew its troops Hezbollah could operate freely

Lebanon isn't bombing anyone. It is Israel and Hezbollah, which is a state sponsored terrorist organization. They sent a few members into Israel, attacked a military patrol, and took two Israeli soldiers hostage. Hezbollah controls much of southern Lebanon and Israel is fighting back. Personally, I think they are both wrong but what do I know. I don't live there.

Hezbolla kidnapped one or two Israeli soldiers. Israel wanted them back. Hezbolla refused. Israel is bombing the snot out of them because of that. They should have just left Israel alone. Israel gave up land and those folks STILL aren't happy. No one will be content until Israel is wiped off of the map which will never happen.

hi.israel has lebanese civil prisoners since 28yrs torturing them un and national community is helpless(nothing new about it) after many tries to release prisoners through un and red cross.hizbulla captured in return 2 israeli soldiers and immediately declared that they will return them back if israel release the lebanese civil prisoners. israel claims that hizbula is terrorist and not a resistance force although they are the occupying country for lebanese territories (there are still some land occupied)and capturing prisoners and invading lebanese airskies on daily basis, and started bombing ambulances, civilians, innocents children and women and blaming hizbulla ....they are not terrorsits.or are they ??? because they want their civil prisoners back and becasue they are defending lebanese land .every nation has the right to have resistance and to arm itself to defend itself against human criminals like israel playing the victim here and am not defending them i just want to show the truth ...i hope people can differentiate between terror which i admit some organisations are doing in name of islam and between true and justified resistance..if the existence of israel was truthful they wouldnt need all these wars to proove their existence, come on now after all this i start to beleive that who wants these to exist while they are commiting massacres and human crimes and using prohibited bombs...just imagine urself in their shoes and walk a mile in it before blaming hizbulla who were very patient and tried all diplomatic ways through UN.
