Do you think this could have been a subtle warning to Syria?

It seems likely to me that it was no accident. It was too pat; very specifically stating their position and publicly placing pressure on Kofi Annan to cave to it.

I wonder if the idea came from the Bush or the Blair camp. Considering their history of underhandedness, I lean toward Bush, but it's impossible to say at this point. Hopefully someone like "Frontline" will shine some light on it in the future.

I don't think it was an "accident" but I don't think that it was Bush's "accident". Considering that is the second time in a month that a mic was "accidentally" left on to over hear a US official I would say it's pretty fishy.

However, I am glad it happened because I agree with what he said.

No i imagine that Bush became purely having an off the list communique including his mate Blair. They gave the impression to be making a music from an similar hymn sheet and in contract. Bush became no longer putting forward "Tony, toddler attempt this for me" became he? He became putting forward "properly the Syrians pick to inform them to provide up this Sh*t and issues will be ok" How is that being Bush's biatch? The are commerades.

I don't know, but it certainly reminded us what a huge intellect is resident in the White House when he greeted the Prime Minister of Great Britain with the immortal words, "Yo Blair!" followed by "We've got to find a way of stopping Syria from doing this ****"

Blair sure didn't know, he sounded like a sad little lap dog during that conversation.

He was basically asking permission to go to the middle east o_0 he's supposed to be the priminister of Britain, not some lackey of the American Empire.

Once again Blair has made me embarrassed to be British

I think it was a grand scheme concocted by the Russians to infiltrate the mind of President Bush causing him to neglect to find out if his voice can be heard or recorded through a microphone which in turn will cause his public opinion rating to drop even lower!

Actually, no, you are stupid, it was an accident.

No, it wasn't worked enough. If it was purposeful they wouldn't have had the swear word in, and it would have been worded in such a manner as to place pressure on the others in the conference without being quite so inflammatory. I do think it was just an accident.

You know...it could have been. I personally think he was having a small talk conversation and I'm really not bothered by his comment. I suppose I should be, but with all the mess going on over there, he's probably getting darn frustrated.

You are right to question everything you are told,

Maybe it was intentional by their Russian hosts to show Bush and Blair's true nature

No, he is just plain dumb....never caare what is going around him so he did not notice the mic, like he has not noticed a lot of things.
