my husband and i are separated. i recently sold our refrigerator, then our son got sick and was hospitalized. i paid all the bills and i also pay for all my child's expenses because ex-hubby is unemployed. i used the money i got from the sale of the ref to pay the hospital. now my husband said i should give him a share on the sale.
i don't think i should because i have been footing all the bills for the longest time. (rent, utilities, schooling, food)

Tell him what an unselfish person he is for wanting 1/2 the money from the fridge but contributing nothing towards his son. Then ask him how he can live with himself after he asked you that question. Tell him to get some freakin' integrity, get a job, and help to support your son that your raising! Tell him if he wants a free hand out....go apply for Welfare, because every penny counts in your house-hold.

I learned this in my divorce. Write everything down and keep reciepts . Your life will be all about paper work and the courts love proof of everything.
Make a list of what you spend on your son's health costs. List all expenences you have paid. And I mean everything to the penny. the things like schooling, food, utilities and so on.
Add this up. Then make a list of any profit. like the sale of the refridgerator and substract that from what he owes you.
He will quickly stop asking for half of that money.
You may never be able to collect his half of his obligations, but at least you will put him in his place.
Remeber in divorce keep accurate details of everything.

Tell him to go f*** himself. He needs to start providing support for your child and help out with some of the bills from the hospital stay.

NO!!!!!! What the hell is wrong with these lazy men now a days??!! They are SO good for nothing!!! Tell him to get off his A** and make some money even if he has to cut grass or wash cars. It's ridiculous. Next thing you know he'll be getting a disability check like the rest these NON DISABLED idiots!!

No way! Tell him if he wants his share of the fridge money to give you the share that he needs to be paying for your sons living expenses and medical bills. Then tell him to get off his lazy bum and get a job!

Absolutely not!! You donot owe him a dime and if he expects it, he is horrible for expecting anything from you especially because you are the soul provider for child. Word of advice, even though he is not working, take him to court for child support. This will hopefully put some fire in his butt and get a job. I wish you luck

Tell that slacker to get a job and help support his son. You owe him nothing. Then go to your state child support enforcement agency and file for child support. You and he may be over, but he has a legal responsibility to cover expenses for your son. Next time he asks for money, tell to go to ##$3@!

tell him to get a job he aint getting crap you have been paying all the bills and taking care of your kid.Its so sad you had to sell your fridge to pay the hospital.He needs to grow up be a man and take care of his kid.Since hes unemployed i guess he dosent pay child support i would be going down and filing for that asap.The states not going to care if he has a job or not if he dont pay support he goes to jail
