So that I can drown out all the other sounds around my car that I don't want to hear, like your crappy music, or the kids in the next car. Also, when on the highway, the wind noise requires me to turn the stereo up so I can hear. Why do you care, you are only going to be around my car for a minute or two, and that is only at a light, anywhere else it is only for a couple seconds. Why do you insist on smoking in your car so that your smoke goes into my car? Your smoke also pollute the environment and when it gets in my car, not only does it get in my lungs, but it also gets in my 4 month old daughter's lungs. Your smoking is way worse than my music.
P.S. I don't have the music loud when my daughter is in the car.

I used to be one of those peeps; I did like the music that loud, but knew it pissed people off. At the time I cared more about the music than peoples feelings....now when a car pulls up beside me with the stereo blasting and their trunk or hatchback sounding like it is going to explode, I laugh and feel a bit embarassed for myself at a younger age.

When I get a chance to be away from the kids for a little while it helps me unwind to blast my music I sure don't care if anyone is listening plus then I can't hear how awful my singing is. I don't mean to be rude to other people by blasting my music, I'll turn it down a bit.

I have seen people pull into parking lots with the car stereo so loud you can hear for two blocks and they get out with a baby in a car seat. Poor deaf kid. I almost feel bad.

Yeah, but everyone knows those boomin' systems impress girls, just like neon and custom paint jobs and no muffler and fast food wrappers on the floor--right? Right?
