I think you should get one if YOU think you need one, i don't care how young you are. I have heard of girls in their 20s with breast cancer and last week a friend of my family who was about 37 died of breast cancer. I say follow your intuition.

I don't know how old you are, but I just had a scare last November, and I was 23 at the time....my doctor recommended I get a mammogram every year....it's NEVER too early! I am so sorry for your mother and aunt, I will say a prayer for you all!

HI, I would suggest scheduling one soon. Especially with your mother and Grandmother. I am 26 years old and Stage II B with Cancer cells on my liver. Everyone on told me to go in for a Mammogram at or shortly after 30. If I had listened, I would have been looking death in the eye. So I am glad I went early. doesn't hurt to get check and I would suggest getting one every year. Explain to your dr. why you want one. Don'tlet her talk you out of it. Better safe then sorry.

Good luck to you and I hope everything turns out okay! :)

I had breast maximum cancers at 29 years previous (i'm 31 now). i replaced into advised that my ladies could have a mammogram 10 years in the previous the age i replaced into clinically determined. So case in point, whilst they are 19, they could desire to start up having mammos. How previous are the kinfolk individuals with maximum cancers? good luck to you and your loved ones!
