I heard about :
- in numerous states and cities around the world : laws against sorcellery are still valid but not applied
- don't know which state of USA : a woman alone can't drive a car after 11 pm
- in NY ? or other big city : you can't smoke on the street if someone can see you. This one is recent !

I'm not sure if it's the MOST absurd, but it still stuns me that there is a law that states the government has to give you permission to sue them. I bet every potential defendent on the planet would love to be covered under that one.

In Texas, it is illegal to have wire cutters in your glove box, and in downtown Fort Worth it is illegal to leave your cow outside after dark.
In Atlanta, three single adult women cannot live in the same house. In Minnesota, you can shoot an Indian dead if you fire from a covered wagon, and they are off the reservation.
Anywhere in the states, if three Indian adult males are together, and one of them is armed, then they constitute a war party and can all three be killed.
There are some of the crazy laws I know.

I heard a lonnng time ago that in Kansas if 2 trains met at a crossing, each one had to give the other the right-of-way in order to pass by. (No wonder the mail is so slow ! )

According to an antiquated Massachusetts law, its illegal to pass gas while eating seafood in public.

I heard that it is illegal to commit suicide, but if you try to do it and survive the sentence is a death penalty.
Also, in Eygpt, if you knock someone down and kill them, you have to look after their family.

in tenesee, you cant eat garlic befor 9 in the morning. i never eat garlic so i would be on law side!
