We need some serious election reform first. It costs big money to get a political candidate airtime to express their views. Not to mention if the parent company of the network doesn't like what you have to say they can reject your ads/airtime no matter how much money you offer. This means that as of right now, only people with huge bank accounts can effect political change while if you and I write our congressman all we get back is a form letter.
Bottom line: The playing field needs to be leveled so that people other than the top 1% of America have a say.

A third party will never happen. If there was a thrid party, all elected politicians would be republican because democrats would split to create this third party and that would be bad. Our government would be run by all very conservative republicans. This is why the democrats better get their acts together!
