I think if you contact the Registry Office in Bristol (presuming you were registered there) they would be able to point you in the right direction. I needed duplicate birth certificate a few years ago and I got in touch with the registry office where I was born. I had to supply other forms of ID but a new one was issued without much fuss. In your case, of course, it might be different. Good luck and congratulations on your forthcoming wedding.
P.S. You don't necessarily have to have your father's name on the birth certificate.

whoever you were adopted through you need to contact ( if there still around) ie father hudsons home, social services. The agency should still have access to your original birth certificate and they may have the amended birth certificate. Your best bet is to go the central registry office in Bristol or contact Bristol Social services

You can check with the Bristol registry office. They should have a record of your birth and, hopefully, can provide you with a copy of your birth certificate. Good luck on your upcoming marriage :)

Search for an office of Vital Records or something similar with the local government (usually on a state or provincial level) where you were born.

Locate the hospital where you were born and request the birth certificate there. That's how I got my duplicate made.

If you can contact the courthouse for your county of birth, they can direct you to the correct dept. or tell you to contact the health department. The health dept usually issues the duplicate birth certificates. I think I had to pay $6 for mine.

Write to the capital of that region. Maybe start with the social Security office, asking them how to do it.

DOES YOU ADOPTIVE PARENTS HAVE A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL? IF NOT YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED TO CALL THE OFFICE OF VITAL STATISTICS AND EXPLAIN TO THEM YOUR PROBLEM AND THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.YOU COULD ALSO TRY CONTACTING THE HOSPITAL OF YOUR BIRTH AND SEE IF THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO HELP,YOU WOULD NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE IN RECORDS.
