You get 2 points for answereing a question, 1 for voting on a best answer, 1 for rating an answer.
You lose 5 for asking a question, and you lose 2 for deleting anything.
you get all the information regarding points from the site itself.
I am not ware of prizes for points but the more points you have the more freedom you have to answer questions.

No you don't win a prize. It's just a useless pursuit of the ability to ask more questions or answer more questions.

Just a fun way to pass time.
You get personal satisfaction. Points don't mean any great rewards. You get to share your knowhow with others. Your experience can be valuable to others. You may feel good for helping someone in need. That's all.

nno, but you need points in order to ask questions, (it costs 5 points to ask a question) and it is to encourage you to answer more questions!
