Any laptop recomendations with a good graphics chip and fast prosesor?

I've had nothing but problems with Dells. Either HP or Acer. Preferrably Acer. Very cheap and reliable. Back when I was broke, we had an Acer Desktop with windows 95 for seven years, and it held up--and still works with no problems, unlike our Dell, which croaked after 3 years. Just recently Got an Acer Laptop with intel Centrino Duo 1.66 GHz, 2 GB RAM, XP Pro, and 120 GB of Harddrive space, and ATI Vid card W/ 512 MB VRAM for $1,100. You can't even negotiate a deal that low.

GET A DELL!!! The battery she is talking about was a defective battery and not a Dell product! Go with the XPS 1710, at least 1GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive, Duo core processor, and the 256 MB graphics card.

dont forget to go for longer warranty...laptop parts are expensive
toshiba is the best....
we have problem with 3 our hp laptop But they are under warranty, so didnt incur extra cost.
They could come from the same OEM from taiwan. That is why sometimes HP, Dell, other have the same design and look

If you are a professional and always on the move get IBM. Its a very good laptop no complaints.
COMPAQ or HP or SONY is also very good. SONY is slightly expensive when compared with Compaq and HP.
DELL is OK

I'd say it's all dependent on your budget, if you want the best go with an Alienware. If you want the best performance for the price then it will be very hard to beat the Acer Aspire 5672WMLI, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834115246

Do not get a Dell. I saw a video last week where one instantly caught in flames. It was due to the battery in it getting too hot, I think.
