having a child creates a great deal of stress on both of the parents and many issues arise that the lovers have never had to deal with before. they also get much less sleep, which makes them very irritable and hard to get along with.

When a woman has a baby, the baby usually becomes her #1 interest and concern. The boyfriend or husband recedes in importance to the background. He might be upset because of this: not exactly jealous of the baby, but hurt because he's not getting the affection from her that he once did.
Sometimes women use a baby as a means of controlling the father. Feminism succeeded in making a very many laws that put heavy burdens on men who don't remain in a relationship with women who have had babies by them. Women use these laws as a way to put pressure on men, to make the men provide them with money, to make the men do what the women want, or else she'll leave and make a phone call to her lawyer.
Men instinctively rebel against a situation like that. Hell with the consequences, they're getting away from the woman who thinks she's now got herself a slave.
Then she does go see the lawyer. Then she does file for divorce. Then she does have the sheriff confiscate the man's property. Then she does go to his employer to have his wages garnished. So the man quits his job and runs away, maybe. Or he picks up a weapon and kills the woman, maybe.
Feminist laws have made a mess of normal human romances.

Because if 2 people can't get along they shouldn't be together even if there is a child involved. A hostile enviroment is NOT healthy for a child and if it means the parents should live separately and be good parents at the same time...the child and the parents are all better off.

Most of the time it is because the child is taking away attention and someone is jealous because they feel left out. Or maybe it could be because one of them were not ready for a family life and they can not deal with the stress. Really it depends on the person some can adapt to the changes and some just can deal with it so they give up and leave.

Because raising a child in an environment where they're not in love and potentially have bad feelings toward each other is not healthy for anyone involved.

Because love is blind...their passion has over looked what their actions can result in...and once a child is conceived it changes their desires of one another...women....a good lover does not mean they will be accepting fathers.

Because both of them don't always want to be responsible for someone else. My ex made the choice himself by being selfish and only thinking about himself. Still does...
