In answre I like to say that men are strange creatures and about this topic you cannot put them all in one group. Masturbation is a very complicated point. Some people know it as a mental or sexual problem and some other not. But whatever is in common between men and women is that they enjoy masturbation because of the very broaded and unlimited imaging and fantasy field. A normal minded man never never prefer masturbation to a normal sex with a woman (who must be acceptable to him feelingly). Those who prefer to masturbate are those who:
1.Don't like their women (her body,face,smell or shape and manner)
2. Those who cannot find their fantasies and passions in a woman
3. Those who are highly in halucination or nearly are sick
And experinces shows that women do it more than men.

Masturbation is quick, and sometimes a selfish sexual release. With sex, there is typically a responsibility to pleasure your partner as well, and, I hate to say it... sometimes, if you're horny, it's far easier to toss one off rather than have sex.

Some men even feel that they NEED to pleasure their partner, just to come to orgasm...

Now... don't get me wrong... this is a rarity, and most, if not ALL men prefer sex over masturbation. And some women don't mind a quick romp in the hay every once in a while, and don't even NEED to come to orgasm.

Now... if this is a problem in your relationship... discuss it with your man... or better yet... grab him and have quick, meaningless sex with him... often... it gives him the quick release he wants, without the obligations.
