13 is the minimum age for someone to be in a position to bypass on yahoo solutions. So now that she is 13 she will ligitamently come on right here. And in spite of the indisputable fact that there are some sexual questions right here and a mass of inapporaite customers a lady of 13 should be in a position to act appropriatly.

As far as I know, it's just an email account. So I wouldn't worry about limiting anything because it's just another form of communication. However, if she's underaged it's illegal to purchase things over the net without guardian's consent, and I would say to cancel the account if that were the case.

Put the computer out in the family room, not in her room, and do not let her use it unless you are there--nothing else is that secure. You can get all sorts of software to try and limit her, but at the end of the day people can figure out how to get around all that.

Pull the plug or take the keyboard with you to work. Of course, that won't stop her from going to her friends and creating a new one.
I wonder what else she's doing without your permission?

There's not much you can do, even if you don't let her get on the computer at home, she can still access her account from any internet enabled computer. e.g. school, library, friends, internet cafe, she can even access her account (emails) from cell phones.

Why would you let her be on the computer unsupervised to begin with?
Don't let her have internet access and you won't have to worry about it.

change your password and always log out when you step away from the computer (maybe clear out the cookies and cache, too, as an added security tool)
