well, you are a Utopian , they will not stop ... they are just embarrassing the USA . and all those in favor of peace in the middle east. I can not believe all this aggression ??? and for what , it is very arrogant . why did not they just trade the prisoners they had 24 years ago and score a point in front of the world .. life would have been much easier ... and peace will prevail ,,,, we are trying to have Jews settle in a land that is not theirs , and OK i am not against that , they needed a home and everything ... but let it be a peaceful stay , what happened to the peace accord what happened to the concept of not killing the unarmed , a brave and valiant solider would not do that to a civilian .... i shed so many tears over the dead and the horrors i see on TV are just unbelievable , i have Italian friends who were visiting Lebanon , and they said it is unthinkable what those ppl are doing ?????!!!!!!!!!! why are we supporting this ???? and why are they doing this in Lebanon , if they think they will turn those who believe in Hezbollah Resistance against them , THEY are DREAMING . this part of the world operates in a different way ...

the history of israel is shady , i mean the piloford paper given to jews is not fair to the palstinians , how can england give israel a paper that stats that this land is yours , when england had no authrity over palastine ????!!!! i am trying to put myself in the arab's shoes and it is really painfull what they are going through ... we need to deal with this part of the world in different way...

OK, but in reality this is whats happening

Israel is attacking Hezbollah targets directly. Its destruction of Lebanon's infrastructure — the Beirut airport, roads and bridges, not to mention over 100civilians which Israel calls munitions supply routes for Hezbollah — is intended to pressure the Lebanese government to clamp down on Israel is attacking Hezbollah targets directly.

Problem is Lebanon can't do much because,

"The Lebanese government didn't act against Hezbollah because they calculated that it will cause them unbearable damage," Brom said. Hezbollah's political organization has two seats in Lebanon's Cabinet and enjoys support among many of the country's Shiite Muslims

I'm sorry but under no circumstances can the kidnapping of 2 people justify the destruction of another country. Obviously there are reasons beyond the 2 hostages that are causeing this, you don't have to be a brain surgeon to see that, it's definately wrong.

Well, I do not think an unprovoked attack is "fair" either. In case you don't read the news, Hizbollah wants to wipe Israel off the map, and kill all Israelis. That is not "fair"

If Lebanon would follow the UN resolutions, then none of this would have happened.

How closely have you been following the history of Israel? Not much I am sure. Israel is a very small country, they have been persecuted for years, they have made many consessions for peace. If you were in this situation in your neighborhood you would be fighting with all you had or else putting your tail between your legs and rolling over. If you are really interested, please start studying history. You are reacting from uninformed emotion.

I think it's unfortunate that the Lebanese people are suffering for something the terrorist group, Hezbollah, did. However, Israel has a right to defend itself.
