I am Muslim, and I was born in America--as was my whole entire family dating back to 400 years (we are African-American)..The "American Dream" is the idea that in America--no matter how poor you were born, or how difficult your life was as a youth--you can still achieve Great Success. America is all about hard work & sucess. The American Dream is all about struggling, working hard, and being able to have financial sucess. America is one of the only countries in the world where you can work hard, and become very rich. Like Oprah Winfrey. She was born very very very poor--but she went to college, worked hard, and now she is a Billionare. But you dont have to be a Billionare or a Millionare to have the American Dream. My mother was born very, very, poor--but she went to college, and now she owns a beautiful home, has a nice car, and is able to help her family finacially--That, is the American Dream.
Salaam
