Well, with all the Poverty in the world, disease, and catastrphy--the fact that she's a trillionare and sits on her royal a$$ and does NOTHING says alot. She's dedicated her whole life to this country, like a human sacrifice. She has to watch every step she makes and has never taken a wrong one. We pay about 2.5p each from our taxes to keep the royals so I don't think we're being harshly treated when the average person pays around £1200 a year in council tax to pay for public services. You obviously don't know alot about the Queen as she's never extravagant, she's rather mean with money really. She has her own personal fortune which is nothing to do with our taxes it is her inheritance and she pays alot more tax than anyone I know. So does her son, Prince Charles. They raise millions for charity and cost us so little. Most of her palaces, jewels,art etc don't belong to her personally, they belong to the country and thus to us.

At least she is the first Monarch to pay taxes. And while I don't agree with the Royal family per se, she has been a good ambassador for the UK and a lot of revenue is generated by tourists who come here primarily for the Royals and the history surrounding them.
And I'd sooner have her than King Tony

I would not say that she does nothing. She does have a full calendar of activities. Check the British papers, and every day you will see her activities (and those for the other members of the royal family) listed.
If nothing else however, the royalty is a massive boost to the tourism industry in Britain.. And the Brits do love their Royals.

You sound like you WANT England to be Socialist. The Queen owns the land. She has a right to a percentage of the income from that land. This just sounds like more hate-the-rich drumbeating. Envy is ugly no matter how it's dressed.
