There was a girl I knew when I was in high school.. she was in junior high and was a friend of my cousin's.. and we started talking one day and all the sudden she just burst in to tears and told me she wanted to not be alive anymore. She was going through what a lot of junior high girls go through.. she felt ugly, fat, unpopular, etc. and it was getting reinforced a lot at home even though it wasn't true. I sat up many a night talking to her, talked to her parents to let them know what she was feeling, and between us we were able to make a safe haven for her at home and eventually she realized that everybody else was worried about the same things and she would be fine. It's been almost 10 years, I still see her on occasion, and I'm still glad for all those 1 o'clock in the mornings, because she's in college, happy and engaged.

Got a good time in the Great Manchester Run in June despite hating running and not being very good at it. Also raised some money for charity at the same time.
Otherwise, graduating from Uni.

I ignored what everyone was telling me and went after what I wanted (music) I still get the "oh you're a music major" look but I'm doing what i love and won't be in the position my parents are in where they hate their jobs but need the money.

pretty much the same as you to be honest, the fact that I let too many people dictate to me what I should do with my life instead of doing what I wanted, and now I have the courage to say NO when I don't want to do something, and I make my own choices regarding relationships and don't let people dictate who I should be with.

Got out of an abusive marriage & got my head out of the sand & asked for help.....
For the first time in I dunno how long, I know I'm gunna be ok....
I'm still scared & I'm not there yet by a long shot but I know in my heart now that he's gone then everything will be ok.
Plus I know for a fact that there was a better more handsome, sexier, funnier, cleverer, more loving and devoted man out there for me....
I love you.... You know who you are!!!!

swimming in a river with my brothers, photography, riding a bike with wind on my face, watching the sun set with a friend, singing together, mom's food, family, sleeping in my old room at home, smell of spring, sun on my skin, smell of rain after hot days, blue sky, sound of flowing stream, breeze on a hot day...sleeping in the afternoon on a hot summer day...,kissing, the feeling after a jog or a workout...shower after a hard days work....many other such things add up to the happy moments of life.:-)

a pretty lil brunette was the best thing I've done in my life.
I've done skydiving and surfing but nothing compares to true love and a bit of rumpy pumpy.
