does the chlorine affect it?

i should think it would be okay, but chlorine can fade your tan quicker. Try one thats gradually fading and not a wash off one. Buy a decent one like st tropez and you should be fine. Also, the more you prepare your skin before you apply the tan the longer it will last, so remember to exfoliate before you put it on to get rid of dead skin cells. Many newer pools these days use salt filters instead of chlorine, which wouldnt effect your tan at all.

It may just fade it slightly if it's a proffesional one. If it's done at home I wouldn't like to say.
