I'm worried that it's just stress because I'm a day or two late, and don't have any 'reason' to be pregnant. I've stressed over POSSIBLY BEING pregnant (and quite a bit of college), because I have all my 'period symptoms', but I usually begin on my 17th day - today's my 19th.

Definitely.

think back on when last you had a test for school or something... hormones go insane. If you hadn't had your period before you start studying intensely, it usually does not come until after the exam when you are calmer.

It also occurs when something traumatic happens in your life.

It's just your body's way of dealing with the overload of issues going on.

p/s:- But if you go more than 2 months without your period, and there is no 'reason' for you to suspect that you are pregnant, then please go to a doctor and get yourself checked out, to rule out any medical issues.

Yes it can. Too much stress can actually cause you to not have a period. Stress releases so many hormones in the body that can have an impact on both physical and mental health. Try practicing some relaxation exercises, meditating or doing yoga to reduce stress. Even going for a daily walk by yourself or with someone who is calming (but who doesn't allow you to ruminate over your stress) can be very helpful. If these things don't help, see a counselor.

Stress can cause your period to be late. I myself, have even skipped a period because of stress related issues. I was even up to 2 weeks late. But, if you know you haven't had sex and that isn't the issue, you will probably get it soon.
