I think flowers on the side of the road are prettier. Heck I even like dandelions. I'd rather have wildflowers in my vase.

It's been nice the few times my husband has bought me flowers, but I will always remember the time he came home with his arms full of flowers from the fields.... sigh...

It has more to do with artistic vision than where a flower came from.
We charged $4 for a small bunch of golden rod that is a weed that grows everyplace around here, especially on the side of the road. Heck, I have a field full of it. Getting from a flower shop certainly did not make it more beautiful, or less allergic (according to my husband). Some folks just have no vision and need a florist to tell them what looks nice. Most florists can't run outside to get pretty flowers, they have to use their stock.
Personally, I think the flowers my mom grows in her yard are the most beautiful I have ever seen. She doesn't do anything but stick the seeds or bulbs in the ground and nature does the rest!

I would prefer fresh beautiful colorful sweet smelling flowers!
if they come from the side of the road or florist does not matter.
Yes, I appreciate the florist who is creative and can make a bouquet look pretty.
But i prefer nature and picking up flowers on the side!

I feel the same way hunni, i would rather pick some pretty daisys or wildflowers then pay an outrageous price for them in the florist shop and they are fresher

Awww your question made me think about my husband. About 2 weeks ago he came home with a huge bouquet of wild flowers. He had been stopping and picking them on his way home from work. That meant more to me than anything he could have done.
And it got him off the hook the next week when he forgot my birthday!!! LOL
