Someone told me this recently, and I found it hard to believe. Is this true? If so, why?

Yes that's true .. for the good believing SIkhs .. they got many strange things too .. about animals. insects and kinds of foods

its not true that sikhs wash their hair once a year. but this is true that they never cut there hair. only half of the sikhs follow the rule of not cutting their hairs. I know all this because I am also a Sikh. I cut my hairs and wash them everyday.

no it not true a sikh must take a bath early morning and wash his hair if not daily at least once a weak.

Sikhs I have known have been very clean and washed their very often but most did not cut it.

I know a few - and cleanliness is number 1 for them - from what I know they bath every day
