My mom insists that this is true. I'm a non-parent, so I figured I'd ask others who might know.

It's a bunch of crap. Different babies have different personalities and different needs. But it has a lot to do with what's in their particular heads and *nothing* to do with what's in their diapers!!

No. It depends on the individual baby, and also on the weening skills of the parent. I imagine that the idea behind this is that since boys are boys they will want to be on a woman's breast as long as possible. At that age, a baby is certainly not thinking of sex, so the only reason to stay on the breast is for food and it being comfortable or familiar.

No, my son was easier than either of my daughters. I think it all depends on the personality of the baby and how serious you are to wean.

All babies are different. Period. It doesn't matter what sex they are.

My son weaned at age 3.5 years.
My middle daugher weaned at about 21 months.
My youngest daughter is still nursing at age 3.5 years.
