There really is no difference. In Europe, the term traditionally used is Mobile Phone, while in North America, it's termed as a Cellular Phone.

Cell: The communication between towers are done in a honeycomb pattern (we learned from nature, wow!!) - when you leave one cell, another one picks up the connection, seamlessly. You will not know the difference as to when one picks up and other leaves off. This way you carry on a conversation without any interruption. Very sophisticated technology.
Term is mostly used in N.American continent.
Mobile: Used to be a hand-held communication device in olden days. This term comes from the old army days when they used to communicate with the base station from the battle front.
Today, Cell phones, using the same cell technology described above, are called Mobile in Europe for lack of a better word. The term exists even today without any change though the technology has changed.
In otherwords, Mobile and Cell are one and the same. They are phones.

The term 'Cellphone' has the same meaning as 'Mobile Phone'.
The term 'Cellphone' is technically more accurate than 'Mobile Phone'
A 'Cellphone' is a mobile device which resides within a wireless network which operate in a cell based structure. When you are moving with your telephone your phone has the ability to switch between 'Cell Sites' without the need to drop the telephone call.
This means that you are using a mobile device which operates in a cellular structured network, so technically speaking the word 'Cell Phone' is more accurate than the 'friendly' word of 'Mobile Phone'.

In a lot of American Music Videos text messages are sent from a pager like device not a phone! Like in the Red Hot Chili Peppers By The Way video.

Cell is a term for a battery. We call them mobile because you can take them anywhere. Americans call them cell phones because they are operated by the battery in them. Unlike a landline.
