A lot of politicians cannot see peace, love, or understanding as useful tools in diplomacy. Instead, it's "shoot now, ask questions later." I don't know if music can heal the world. Look at the hippie movement of the 60's and 70's. Most of their movement was through music and that era brought on a lot of violence and drugs. So I can't go that "music can heal the world" route. I think the key is understanding. Understand your adversaries and you will be able to negotiate and reason with them better. Going about it with the "my way or no way at all" attitude can cause a lot of problems. Case in point: North Korea and the current Isreal-Hezzbellah (sp?) issue. We did a lot better with Kim Jong Il when we were compromising with him and paying attention to his actions and words. Then we decide to ignore him for a while and what happens? He gets our attention in a bad way.

If music could heal, there would not have been any wars, in the world. It is the human tendency to acquire land, money and women and these three are the root causes for any war to start.
In the present conflict in Mid East, Land is the cause.
