no matter how intense the dream is, I usually forget it in a couple of days. however, if the action really took place, I would remember it for a long time.

Dreams and reality are the same except for 2 differences.

Your image of reality is constantly corrected to match the input from your senses (vision, hearing, etc) But a dream has no corrections applied so it can proceed in illogical, bizarre, or unrealistic sequences.

Another difference is that the part of your brain that establishes your "self image" is depressed during dreams which is why you can do something in a dream you wouldn't do in real life and why your memory doesn't bother to keep a permanent impression of dream events, unless...

The type of dream that is remembered is one with extreme emotional content, which can be fear or pleasure. This is actually similar to reality in that we forget the boring days but remember the ones where something emotionally stimulating happened.

I agree with the others. No matter how real a dream is...it is just a dream.
There is a difference between reality and fantasizing.
During my waking hours I could imagine exactly how someone would feel etc. It does not mean I have actually felt them.

When it comes down to it you have to separate fantasy and reality. Your dream is not real and is not nearly as good as the real thing.

A dream is made up of the sights, sounds, feelings, and smells of the day or days before the dream. That means if you happened to see your favorite man/woman just before you called it a day, you may probably dream about him/her. So the mentality doesn't come after, but before.

Your mind is playing trick on you. Sometimes you think they are so real, but yet they are not. you have to separate fantasy and reality. Dreams are triggered by the media effect, actual events and daily activities. In you case, media can play lots of effect on it

When you have such vivid dreams usually means that there is a lesson to be learnt or the dream is relating to something in your life, for example a personal desire you might have about this person. Don't worry about it too much, but try to see if it relates to your life and if you can learn from it. Goodluck! :)

Wow, your question is confusing. Have you ever feel like that? Can you still differ reality from imagination?
