I've been able to get answers here on Y!A that I couldn't get anywhere else, and I love it. I've been using the site for about half a year now and try to help other people understand how to use it properly so people can continue to get good answers the way I have.
Yahoo! Answers is sort of a community also. After a while, you start to recognize some people whose questions and/or answers you've seen many times before. It's interesting to find out what they'll ask or answer next. And it's kind of flattering that there are some people who are interested in what I have to say. I've made numerous friends through the contact options in the profiles and through Yahoo! 360.
Plus, there's just something about being selected as best answerer that makes you feel really good each time. :)

I stay because I love answering questions. This is fun for me. If it weren't, I would have left soon after joining.

I'm not sure....I think its because I think that someone is going to ask just the right question....and then read my answer....and be so impressed with my literary skills that they will contact me...tell me how wonderful I am....and then we will fall in love and live happily ever after.

Give and take. If I find something interesting or knowledgable for me, I keep it to my watch list or copy it for myself else if I have time, I give answers too.
