These places are just optical illusions. Next time you go, take a simple little level with you and you will see that gravity (Also described by Newtons Universal Law of Gravitation) works there as well as any other place on Earth.

It's an optical illusion. The layout of the surrounding land produces the optical illusion that a very slight downhill slope appears to be an uphill slope. The most important factor contributing to the illusion is a completely or mostly obstructed horizon. Without a horizon, judging the slope of a surface is difficult, as a reliable reference is missing. Objects one would normally assume to be more-or-less perpendicular to the ground (such as trees) may actually be leaning, offsetting the visual reference.

This is an optical illusion experienced on the Promised Land Road, just east of Olean, NY on an unpaved stretch that the powers that be will not allow to be paved for fear that the illusion would be compromised. Surrounding area is primarily trees and shrubs and a limited view of a horizon can be observed. You park your car, put it in neutral, and it slowly creeps "UP" the grade.

I have one near my home in Ireland, a really good one that will pull the car up hill, you feel tired walking downhill etc, really good, but it is just an optical illusion I'm afraid, which is a pity because it is SO convincing! Sorry to burst the myth.

been to kenya dude well if u have been there then i have seen the same place. the explanation given to me is that the gravitational pool is the lowest at that point at the bottom of the hill while it is higher at the top of the hill thus the watever is at the bottom of the hil is pulled up the hill by the gravitational pull.
hope that answers it.!!
by the way how did u find kenya if that is where u saw it

Optical illusion. It appears to go uphill. But it's actually going down hill.

I've heard of other places where it appears that gravity doesn't work. It does work.

It's an optical illusion. Lay a carpenter's level on the road and check it out... or just pour water and see which way it flows. Here in the US we call this science. Have you ever heard of it?
