There were maybe 20-25 "major" deities (including, for example: Isis, Horus, Osiris, Seth, Anubis, Thoth, Amon-Ra, Hathor); then all the pharoahs were deified, although slightly differently from the proper pantheon; and then there were all sorts of other local deities.
