jIt's fine, if that's the heaviest thing you can find at that time. But it has to be a group effort. Time it, get everyone in your office in sync, and have at it. If you're lucky, the ambulance will be fast and wisk him away with the other sick people..

Did anybody communicate the misguided sense of self-importance to them? If so, the responsiblity should not lie merely on them.
And if throwing hard objects at people can solve problems, then this would be such a chaotic world. However, the occasional release of frustration that way can relief a little bit of stress? Just don't ever get caught? (Just Kidding...)

Considering that the flu is in the system for at least a week, you have to take into consideration the number of days a person is entitled to take for sick leave. If everyone decided to stay at home whenever they got the sniffles, employers would be going into debt. Sure, if it's bad stay at home for the worst day or so, don't cough on people and such and such. But we can't wrap ourselves in cotton wool, otherwise we run the risk of getting fired.

Actually, I think wrapping their head in a plastic trash can liner would make better sense. That way, there is no way germs will be spread and you'll be spared their further misguided self-importance.

I prefer a non-violent approach. Here are some suggestions:
Throw feces at them instead.
Put a dunce cap on them and make them sit in a corner next to the reception area.
Take away their Christmas bonus.
Force them to babysit for your kids on the weekend, when they are well.
Put them in charge of the company picnic.
Take away their computers until they agree to go home and get well.
Strip them down and make them wrap in cotton wool.

I actually think your suppose to throw the tape despenser, but I'm sure the stapler will work too... I heard it will help them sleep better during there illness... And if the stapler does knock them out you can always drag them outside to help them relax better... (It's so hard to relax in a work environment)...

No. It's not wrong. In fact, be sure it's loaded with plenty of staples and be sure one or two are sticking out of the ouchy end when you throw it.
I feel your pain. I hate sick folks @ work too.

i wish we can do that without getting in trouble, sick people esp. when they are contagious should stay at home to avoid spreading the disease

Absolutely not. Putting hot pepper in their tissue would be wrong.
