I see it here all the time. A liberal will ask a really stupid question that bashes Bush and the conservatives start to rip all of us apart. Are you too dumb to understand that those who ask a question like that do NOT represent the rest of us? I have tried to ask and answer intelligent, thought-provoking questions, but instead of getting honest answers from conservatives, I get spiteful ones because of some moron lib that decided to ask if Bush likes it up the a**. They get pissed off with me because of them and I had nothing to do with it. Is it hard for conservatives to understand that not all liberals are immature like this? I know that not all cons are jerks or crooks. Politicians are, not just one party. I would like to hear from conservatives that feel one way or the other, please.
Note: I am not taking it personally...it's just Y!Answers...I'm just concerned with middle-America and whether or not this is how people actually think.

Well conservatives get the same treatment from libs. They seize on the "Are all libtards _____?" questions and paint all conservatives with that brush. It's easy to pick on the noisy, hateful people in each camp and use them as fodder for the fight.
The thing we should do-those of us who are thinking, rational people on each side, is ignore those who seek to incite-don't answer their stupid questions. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and if we stop greasing them, they will get bored and go away.
I am on the opposite side of you, but I agree with you on this. (I am guilty of it, too, btw.)

Well the thing is that most conservatives need to be told how they should think, before they can. If you ask a thought provoking question, they are most likely unable to answer it without cunsulting their Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter propaganda libraries. Intellegent debate is over in this country, a direct result of policies implimented by the conservatives way back when Reagan first ran for the Presidency. When Reagan won, without addressing many issues, and basically talking around issues in a patriotic tone, they found that their core base, doesn't want answers or policy, but just rhetoric and fluff. Now we are stuck with empty shells of debate where only one side wants to rely on facts and the issues, while the other side brings up non-issue hot buttons like gay marriage and the like.

I dont really have an answer to this question, i think there are immature people on both sides, frankly i think it is embarrassing but what do i know. I would like to address Vertical's comments on Reagan though. I dont mean this in an insulting way but I think you should do some reading about Reagan, he will end up being known as one of the greatest presidents of all time by both liberals and conservatives. He won the Cold War by not firing one missile. The short version is he made the Russians believe we had an arsenal of nuclear weapons and he made them go broke by trying to compete with us by building more and more artillery when in fact we had nothing of the sort. It is a lot more complicated than that and you should really read about it to understand it. You show me another president or world leader that had brought down a huge communist superpower without firing a single shot. Reagan also came up with Reagonomics. Reaganomics is widely used today and is still considered one of the best Economic plans of all time. Reagan was not an idiot, it is true he was very charismatic and could pull one over on anyone but he used that to the best of his advantage. There were many other things Reagan did while in office that were supremely commendable, I think most liberals in politics will agree that Reagan was a great president.

at first super activity generalizing... genuinely there have been some questions that have been asked with the aid of a liberal wherein a conservative gets the final answer. additionally from what i've got observed various human beings interior the politics component to YA ask questions (or make statements) that are very directive to there purpose interior the stature of the question. meaning that they are asking a question to instruct a component and are purely going to pick a ultimate answer that helps the assertion they try to make in there question. This is going for the two liberals and conservatives. take a glance on the questions published at right here, what proportion are somewhat valid questions that the asker is finding for a intense bi-partisan answer to in spite of political association. interior maximum human beings of the questions there is a few assertion the belittles one social gathering, candidate or point of view.

Well, first, as much as I concede that you have a point, let me call you out on something. Not all conservatives do that all the time. I've been ripped apart by some "open-minded, non-judgemental" person that calls themselves a liberal plenty of times. They say I'm a low-intelligence yokel, who apparently commits incest and lives in the South. They say that I'M the narrow-minded one, that I'm a Bible-thumper.
So it happens on both sides.
I have been guilty of taking my aggression towards the stupidity out on people who were asking a valid question. However, it hasn't really happened that often. I usually try to call a person out over it, and tell them that they're making themselves (and their chosen political affiliation) look bad. But to err is human...

The same happens the other way, though I don't think quite as much. There are a few right-wing fools here who ask stupid questions like "Is Hillary the devil?" and, though I agree that someone who asks such foolish questions deserves a slap upside the head, the reasonable among us understand that it's just one fool asking the question, not representative of his whole side's way of thinking. The real problem is that there aren't many reasonable people here.

All of the libs and cons from the Yahoo Message Boards have spilled over into Yahoo Answers out of boredom. These are the people that do not have real jobs other than coming up with the most idiotic questions one can think of. All in the name of trolls.
No, YA is not immune from trolls. You just have to weed them out by not responding to their crap.

I guess it's for the same reason liberals get offended by everything a conservative does. Or perhaps why they are so irritated and confused why people would vote republican.
Just deal with it or let it go. Those are your two choice until the next election.
