How has the Internet changed your life? Is it positive or negative? How has the internet affected the World?

It depends on how people use it. But for me, it was completely positive. You can basically self teach yourself in any profession you desire to learn. I spend most of my research time online on google forums and I love the flexibility of being able to surf the internet for information that can change my life and view of many things.

Some people who misuse the internet are the ones that give internet a bad name. The pediophiles, hackers, and the porn freaks are the ones that make the internet seem dangerous. If you know how to use the internet for research and information, I think its the best tool in the world.

Now that we can place some security in our computers, most schools now have computer labs. They do vital research and homework using the internet as their learning tool. It saves time and gives students the option to look up data online. It enforces literacy and world wide communication. I have talked to several people online from all around the world. World knowledge and world communication is always a postive thing.

At the same time, opening the internet to the world has opened up many jobs for people who are in the IT profession. How would the world look now if we didnt have that? It would certainly be mundane.

I don't remember what I did before the internet, or how I got things done.

I somehow managed high school and college without a computer. They didn't exist. I used a slide rule in college.

I started my computer career without the internet, and worked it for 15 years BEFORE the internet. I'm not sure how.

I do remember getting e-mail from the guy in the next cubicle.... I thought that was so absurd. I'd rather that he throw a crumpled up piece of paper OVER THE WALL.

I actually used to get and read a newspaper. Now, newsprint seems so repulsive with that black ink getting on everything.

But now my phone is internet based. I've got Vonage, and it works great for me.

I know people now on every continent. My wife and I have gone on vacations with people half-way around the world. It is simply amazing.

For me, Internet is like fire, you use it the right way, it cooks food for you, warm your room and things like dat but if you use it bad way, it will harm you.

Internet got its own good and bad sides of it.
