It's actually in storage right now. It went from the Art Museum steps (where he ran up and where there is still a bronze plaque with his Converse All-Stars shoe prints in it at the top of the stairs), to the Spectrum, then to the Wachovia Center and now to storage. It is said that it will be brought back out, especially with the new Rocky movie coming out in Decemeber, but there's a debate as to where it should be placed. The pompous Philly art crowd thinks that a 25 year old Philadelphia land-mark-of-a-statue may ugly up their Art Museum steps, so they're fighting to get it placed at the bottom and off to the side. This is to be continued.

If you take the Broad Street Line (Orange Line) North to City Hall after the game, you can pop out on to the streets and look west, down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and will be able to see the Art Museum about a mile away. It's a bit of a walk, but it is a nice area. You can also look it up and find all of the spots that he ran down, like the Italian Market in South Philly.

Go to the Philadelphia Art Museum to run up the Rocky Steps. It is funny to watch people try to run al the way up. They usually get to the second tier and then stop. Visit the art museum too, it is wonderful!

Not sure about the statue. One person says it isn't there, taken away to be cleaned or something. I haven't been to Philly in a while, so I couldn't tell you.

JDM is correct, but left out one small detail. At the Spectrum, where the statue stood for the last 20 yrs, there is now a smaller bronze likeness of a silhouette of the statue. In case you're interested
