Since you are in your first trimester, its better to keep calm and wait until you enter the second trimester. The first trimester is very important and most of the defects and anormalies develop during this trimester. The type of foods you eat play a big role in being nauseous- it is a way the body reacts toward those type of foods in order to protect the foetus and the mother.
Also worrying will do you no good, but affect the foetus and also you. So try and relax, nuture yourself and the bub as much as you can with TLC. Even though you can't eat much, you have to for the bub's sake. Sometimes we don't feel like eating but once we start, it gets easier to swallow and digest.
If you need more help, you could try self help books or even consultant a health professional.
Good Luck!!

More than likely what you are having is called Morning sickness...but it can happen all day long, not just in the mornings.
Usually you don't have to worry about the baby getting nourished because it will take all it needs from you first, so it will be you that will be lacking. Make sure to take your prenatal vitamins.
Unfortunately, this can go on a long time or it could end soon after the first trimester is over with.
What I did and was told by my doc to do was, to not eat any big meals. I was to eat 6 small meals a day. Try to get something in your stomach about every 2 hours.
Take saltines and a glass of water to bed with you and set it where you can reach it without getting up. If you wake during the night eat a couple of the crackers and drink a little water. Make sure to stay awake for a little bit (about 15 minutes) so it can settle in your stomach.
Same goes for when you are going to get up in the morning. Eat a few saltines and drink a little water. Don't get up right away, let the saltines get to your stomach (another 15 minutes or so). Don't get up and start moving around fast, just take it slow.
After you've been up for a little bit (about 1/2 hour or so), fix one or two pieces of toast and put a little jelly on it (no butter). Try to get that down with a little milk or juice (if juice is too "sweet" add a small amount of water to it).
Try not to eat any greasy foods. If something sounds good to you, go ahead and have some of it. If it doesn't sound good, then by all means stay away from it!
Just try to get something in your stomach every 2 hours while you're awake. Carry saltines with you and a bottle of water if you go out someplace too.
I wish I had bought stock i saltines when I was pregnant! I'd buy 5 or 6 boxes when I went to the store. I was eating them and toast all the time during my first trimester with my first pregnancy! They helped though.
Also buy some star light mints (those little hard candies that are red and white) or some actual peppermint sticks. Peppermint really settles your stomach (whether pregnant or not). You can suck on these too (I always had a purse full of these too!).
If you have questions you should ALWAYS give your doc or nurse a call. Never be afraid to call and ask them questions. That is what they are there for and what you pay them for!
Never take any medications without checking with them and watch adivce given online to make sure it's from a legit person (hard to tell if anyone is telling the truth on here!)...that's why it's best to check with your doc or nurse if you have questions.
I hope you have an easier time of your pregnancy soon! Just know, it will end. In the meantime, try to enjoy it as much as you can. It will go quickly, just as the life of your child will. Enjoy every minute of it, because soon it will be grown.
Best wishes!

I am in my first trimester too and feel the same way you do. I hardly want to eat at all, I feel so sick all the time. They say you end up losing weight in the first trimester due to nausea anyways, so I'm sure the babies are fine. Like someone else said, if it gets really bad or doesn't go away in the second trimester, tell your doctor and they can probably prescribe you something for your sickness. I just try and eat the smallest of things, and every two hours, keep taking your vitamins or switch to flinstone vitamins if you think they're causing your nausea.

Be sure you are eating healthy foods and often. Lots of little meals during the day will help a lot. Even keep a little emergency pack of healthy snacks with you so in the event you are stuck for awhile somewhere, you can keep that nausea away. Some people have nausea throughout the pregnancy, others have it a short time. Listen to your body and you will adjust your habits as needed. Always talk to your doctor if you get worried enough. They are so used to dealing with these things; they're there to help you and the baby through the pregnancy.

This is my second pregnancy. With the first baby I never got sick now this one is completely different. I have been sick since before I even thought I was pregnant. My doctor suggests taking either Pepcid or Emetrol for nausea. I have learned to eat a few crackers and if that doesn't help take some Emetrol. That stuff works wonders. Just eat small things several times a day. Even if you don't feel very good the baby still needs nutrition. Hope this helps!

This is very common and usually stops after the third month. Try eating an unsalted cracker first thing every morning. This helps keep the nausea away for a bit. Eat healthful foods in small quantities throughout the day also, and take prenatal vitamins. If the nausea is so bad that you aren't eating anything, talk to your doctor. He/she may need to prescribe a medication that will ease the nausea. I had to do that with my third child. Good luck, and congratulations!

I'm to in my first trimester and suffering a bad case of nausia. Try eating when you can even if the only time you're able to eat is late at night or even midnight. This will make up for what can't eat during the day. It's what I do. The baby will get what it needs.

i'm right there with you the first 4 months of my pregnancy was like having the flu 24/7 didn't matter what i ate it came back some tips the doc gave me: never have an empty tummy snack on foods every 2 hours, drink plenty of water so you don't dehydrate, also he told me to take unisom(which is a sleep aid) and vitamin B6 together it might make you sleepy but it beats being best friends with the toilet

It's very normal to feel this way. Make sure you do eat though~ several small, healthy meals, drink plenty of healthy liquids. Sometimes decaf mint tea helps soothe the nausea. If it gets too bad though and you can't keep anything down, see your doctor. Good luck!
