Go to your start menu, then click your "RUN" button, a small box will pop up on the bottom right hand side of the screen. In the text box type in msconfig this will bring you to the microsoft configuration box. In this bow you should see a tab on the top right that says start-up. Click the tab and check and uncheck the items you want to start upon startup. That should make your startup faster and also make things easier for deleting unwanted things within your computer.

click start menu and select run option
Type msconfig and press enter
Then click on the startup tab
There u can view the startup items
U check and uncheck the items u want
But its safe to run the system in the normal startup mode
Donot uncheck if you doesnt know what all u dont need.
Better consult a pro. Coz some start up items are necessarily needed for the system to run.
If u uncheck some essentials ur system might not run properly

Start -> Run -> type in 'msconfig' -> OK -> In the window that appears go to Startup...it's in the upper right section ... and select which items you wanna keep at your startup. you can remove anything from there, it will not affect your system...but be careful not to remove your antivirus and your firewall..and whatever you got installed for your security because they will not start again when you restart.
after doing all the above, choose apply, close the window and restart your computer.

Run the msconfig utility.
Go to Start, then Run and type in: msconfig
Go to the startup tab
You will see a list of all the programs that are loaded when your computer starts up. Uncheck any that you do not have to have. (Usually you can uncheck them all). If you decide you to need one, you can go back and recheck it.

there's no way to do... that but if your pc has high system properties..... loading enough startup items won't cause any harms...... anywz.. go to msconfig(from run > go to run and type Msconfig) and check startup... if your os in newly installed then it's minimun requirements.. and if not you know... answer... some un necessary are also loaded but most of these are used by your installed application or software like anti virus - resident shield...

Click on "Start" > "Run" > type in "msconfig" and hit "Enter". The furthest tab from the left labeled "Startup" contains all of the applications that load when you start your computer. Check/un-check the items you want/don't want.

You could download TweakXP ... there are a lot of options to stop processes in there. Or you go get ewido anti-malware... they have a trial out and you can add and remove startup scripts using that. Or you could type 'msconfig' into your run command and do it yourself.
