I would say that the dumb questions are the ones that dumb people ask. Like:
1. Why is the sky blue?
2. Did Mary have sex with god to have Jesus?
3. Is the holocaust really a hoax?
4. Did the US really land on the Moon?
5. If you are travelling at the speed of light and turn on your headlights, will you see anything.

These, to me, are stupid questions. Difficulty has nothing to do with making a question stupid. If you really want to know something the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.

I think this is a GREAT question! Don't listen to those other people. Unfortunately, it sounds like some if the questions have crossed the line from being "dumb" to being gross and inappropriate.
