My husband and I are a very busy couple. We realized though that we don't have any couple friends. We are not interested in going to a religious related organization (seeing that we are of different faiths) How do we find people interested in fun and music before the 80's, maybe vegetarians, animal lovers, maybe interested in natural health, or even people interested in comedy like monty python to George Carlin??

We recently moved across the country to a new location and didn't know anyone. We decided to do the typical things to meet people; like go to church. That didn't work because we aren't like most people at the churches. However, we also joined a couple of local clubs. Since then our clubs have helped at the local rodeo's and we have met people our ages through the clubs. (We are early 50's). Also my wife joined the Red Hat Club and has met women there that we have done things with (her friends there are married and bring their hubbies to bbq's here). So volunteering and join clubs might be one way to meet people. Good Luck
