Whatever happened to the original drummer from the group"Chicago"?

Oh, he's very much alive, and what's quite ironic, is that in '06 he debuted a new band, The California Transit Authority (go figure), featuring himself on drums.
This is his first band since Chicago, and this is the first time in 15 years that he has played live with a band.
