It really depends on the characters being used...there are many different character combinations that can result in the name "Sachiko". The most common of these is 幸子 in which the first character means "happiness, joy, bliss" and the second means "child". Other combinations are sometimes used if the parents want to vary their child's name slightly (or the number of strokes used to write the characters is deemed to be inauspicious), but in those cases, the meaning isn't as important as the name itself. Some alternate character combinations (by no means a comprehensive list) are as follows:

祥子 - good fortune - child
佐知子 - to help - to know/inform - child
佐智子 - to help - wisdom/intellect - child
早智子 - early/fast - wisdom/intellect - child
紗智子 - gossamer - wisdom/intellect - child
沙智子 - sand - wisdom/intellect - child
サチ子 - "sa" * - "chi" * - child

* - it was very fashionable in the past (less so nowadays) to use "katakana" characters for girl's names..."katakana" characters are phoenetic and thus have no meaning in or of themselves.

Hi Mency,

Sachiko is a character from the Usagi Yojimbo comic; she is an anthropomorphic cat and is a master thief, posing as a street performer to hide her criminal livelihood. Very little is known about Sachiko herself as she only appeared in one story in flashback; in the story Kitsune's Tale, she's the one who taught Kitsune everything she knew about being a street performer/thief.

You Can find the meaning of "Sachiko" below

Happy child. The "ko," like in my name, Machiko, means child. It(putting the "ko" at the end) is a pretty common trend in Japanese girls names, though slowly coming out of favor.

It all depends on its Kanji. Write sachiko in Kanji. Then someone here will translate it.

幸子? 佐知子? 早智子? 紗千子? lots more.
