It is not necessary for a man or a woman.

That's the wrong point of view....

Because Marriage involves 2 people, asking how it benefits just one of them, goes against what marriage is supposed to be about.

By asking that question, you're neglecting the woman in the Marriage equation.

You can't get married unless there are 2 persons involved.

A better question would have been: "Is marriage necessary." PERIOD.

But just to offer my personal opinion.....I feel marriage benefits the woman, more than it does the man.

In my opinion I beleive many people have lost sight of the purpose of marriage. First, and foremost, marriage is an institution created by God for several reasons. One, man needs to have company, being alone can be a very empty feeling. Two, human beings are created to be social beings, marriage helps to meet that need. Three, marriage is for physical and emotional fulfillment. Four, of course for procreation, but sex is not limited to that function alone, it is also a bonding between two people,(male and female) so they can become one. Secondly, marriage provides a stable enviroment for the family. As can be witnessed by the lack of stability in our society. Third, marriage is the wholesome moral fabric of any society. If marriage is compromised so is the moral fabric of that society. Marriage is designed to provide in particular emotional fulfillment for the woman; a wife who is secure is a happy and faithful wife. A man requires physical fulfillment, a satisfied husband is a faithful husband. This keeps either or both from wondering. In conclusion, marriage is necessary for man, but as well as for a woman. Without it moral chaos results.

It depends on your moral and religious beliefs, and also on your needs. For example, if you have strong sexual urges but believe you should not have sex outside marriage, then you should get married. Besides, there have been scientific studies that have found that married men and women have better health. I think it must be nice for a man to come home and find a wife who loves him, and maybe children too. I know men who have changed a lot (for the better) thanks to marriage. A good marriage brings a lot of happiness, along with a lot of sacrificing. A bad marriage (always a possibility)... must be hell on earth!

Only if you are a moral person. Marriage has been around for as long as mankind. It is only during recent decades which people have decided that the institution of marriage is obsolete.

marriage is a legal contract with many consequences. the only possible way to nullify those consequences is a pre-nup.... ask for one of those & marriage will be out of the question.

In this day & age.... trust no one, not even those that say they love you now. Anger makes people do many hurtful things....

Only if you want to give away all your money and drive a mini van instead of a convertible. Oh, and if you want to stay with one woman for the rest of your life...remember how long you live before you ever ask someone to marry you....

I don't see why, unless you want kids. Otherwise I never saw any reason to work to support a wife. You can get your needs taken care of a lot cheaper than giving half your stuff away.
