Heard their new song tonight. I've got to admit (even though I'm not a total fan of their music), that they are damn talented. Me thinks they are the next global supergroup. Thoughts?

I'm really liking them right now. We'll see how they change and grow as time goes on. I think that is true sign of a "super group".
What is the "new" song? I have the album on my Ipod so I haven't been listening to the radio too much.

Well, they sure took the musical world by storm in 2004-05 with the release of their debut "Hot Fuss". They are trying to change their sound a lot (more "American") for their sophomore album, I think that if they can pull that off they will be huge. And I think that they probably can pull it off because, like you said, they're damn talented. Let's wait and see, October 3rd.
They really made their mark, regardless, now they have to (try to) top that.

I like the Killers, but I don't think they are the next big thin. They aren't hip hop enough to get the kind of airplay that would render them "the next big thing" they would need to fit into a variety of formats-top 40/CHR, Urban, rock AOR would all have to pick them up-most notably, the hip hop/urban format would have to grab them as that is one of the ones that is helping to generate the most sales. HOWEVER! That doesn't negate their worth or value as artists-like I said, I like the killers. I like their sound.

i was a bit disappointed in the new song. but i suppose my taste doesnt cater for everyone. maybe it'll grow on me
